The bolt position indicator (BPI) switch is single pole/double throw, rated at 30 volts DC, 500 milliamps resistive load.
Wire designations are:
| Black: | Common |
| Red: | Connected to Common when the lock is secured |
| Green: | Connected to Common when the lock is unsecured |
